- Wear a hat, a scarf, or a skull cap
- Lightly dab a damp cloth (not soaking wet) on the area
- Sleep any which way you want
- Drink lots of water
- Take prescribed medicines
4 to 5 days after the treatment, you need to avoid the following:
- Chlorinated pools, saunas, steam rooms, and tanning beds for one month after your final treatment session
- Intense exercise that will cause you to sweat a lot
- Rinsing, scrubbing, and/or shampooing the treated area
- Shaving the treated area
- Exposure to sunlight for long periods
- Touching the treated area with hands
5 to 7 days after the treatment (or until you return for a follow-up), you need to avoid the following:
- Scratching the scalp to remove scabbing
- Shampooing or exfoliating the treated area
- Use of tanners and/or anything that can irritate the skin
